That are undertaken every is is the page where I will try and write about the art sessions that are undertaken every Friday
A well read tree
We dug up some earth from the garden and spooned it in our paper cups. Then we stuck some twig as a tree. Then came the newspaper tearing. These pieces were stuck to the tree as leaves. And we were done.
The aim of art here in multi fold. Not only do I wish children to be introduced to simple forms of artistic creations (outside of the glossy too prepared ones that are generally taught), but also to genuinely create from simple things so that they can repeat these easily. Another aim is to strengthen the hand body co ordinations.
Newspaper doodling
We stuck some newspaper on the tables and experimented with circles, waves and even patterns with a sponge with red, yellow and green colour. Children loved the feel of the brush and waited patiently for their turns at the tubs of colour! Too bad it got too soggy and we had to do away with it.
Now that the Spring is in the Air
The children observed the flowers of Spring and with sponge and finger printing creating a beautiful collage to which then the butterfly stickers were added. This was then converted into spring cards for the kids to take back with them.
